A Film by Charanpreet Singh
24 Minutes 00 Seconds | India | Hindi

Synopsis: “Draped in Silence is a poetic ode to memory, dignity, and the quiet ways love survives in forgotten corners.
In a quiet village of Uttarakhand, an old man sets out with a bundle of sarees tied to his bicycle. Each one carries an unspoken connection to a woman in the village — a schoolgirl, a bride-to-be, a widow, a mother-to-be. As he moves from lane to lane, his silent gestures begin to weave a portrait of the village’s hidden emotional life, tracing the arc of womanhood from youth to loss.
Unseen, a young schoolteacher follows, drawn to the mystery of this journey. What he discovers is not just the story of an old man, but of a community’s unspoken bonds — and a quiet act that will make the village remember him forever.”
