About the Director: “Lorenzo Giovenga is an Italian director and producer, born in Rome on 9 September 1989. In 2014 he obtained a master’s degree in “”The cinema of entertainment: theories and techniques”” at La Sapienza in Rome and began working at Sky Cinema, taking care of the “”Sky Cine News” and taking part in the restoration of the documentary “Mario Bava – Operazione Paura” by Gabriele Acerbo and Roberto Pisoni. In 2015 he directed the short film “Gemma di Maggio” financed by the Lazio Region, with Franco Nero. The following year he founded the company. produced by Daitona srl, with which he made his first work, the feature film “”Daitona””, a black comedy with Ornella Muti released in Italian cinemas in June 2019. The same year he was involved as a director in Rai Cinema’s first transmedia project, “Happy Birthday”, presented during the 76th Venice International Film Festival. In 2020 he directed the short film “Intolerance” together with Giuliano Giacomelli, with which he won numerous international awards. In 2022 it is the turn of another experimental project, “”Sinfonie Urbane””, a transmedia product that merges videomapping with documentary, coining the term “”documapping”” for the first time.
